at Rave Coffee
We are looking for an enthusiastic coffee roaster to join our busy Roasting Team.
Do you want to have a direct impact on how coffee is roasted? Do you want to be part of a cupping and quality control team, and have a hand in all stages of the roasting process?
Skills and Experience:
You will ideally have experience working as a coffee roaster/production roaster for a minimum of 1 year.
Experience working with roasting and stock management software, e.g. Cropster.
You will have some coffee tasting experience, and be familiar with different brew styles, coffee flavour profiles and some basic origin information.
You will be comfortable with some heavy lifting, and assisting with pallet deliveries.
You will be a team player, able to work closely with the roasting team, and other production departments in order to get the best possible coffee to our customers in good time.
You will show maturity in your decision-making, and have health & safety at the forefront of your mind.
Able to work efficiently, calmly and with accuracy.
The Role :
Working with the Head Roaster and roasting team to produce roasted coffee that has adhered to all our quality control expectations.
Receive and review roasting schedules and preparations for daily roasting.
Assist with roaster maintenance and organisation of our green store.
Take part in departmental coffee tastings, cuppings and sensory QC.
Use Cropster on a daily basis to record roasts and manage stocks.
Assist other departments from time to time where operational demand dictates.
